Negative experience: Courses were moved on online-only (for non-COVID restriction reasons). I mainly signed up for in-person learning so feel my time/money was a bit wasted. Up until then I thought my course was good and was planning to continue and return once they had in-person courses again. FYI for others: They interpret '2 weeks' notice for cancellation as '3 more classes'. It makes the business seem a bit desperate to squeeze the last few dollars out of you as you go.

We are really sorry to have had to move your classes to online. This was a change that we needed to take due to the toll that the pandemic had in our business.
As for the payment, the cancellation notice does state two full weeks, which in cases like yours this means there was one more class to pay. I understand you might not agree with that but we are really pleased to know you enjoyed our lessons.

Fantastic experience: Awesome language school. Online classes ran just as smoothly as it did in person and that really helped with the lockdown in Auckland this year. really nice people that teach too, I would highly recommend Language Hub.

Negative experience: They cancelled my class every 3 weeks or so because the teacher couldn't make it the last minute. Sometimes, the teacher could make it but they still cancelled the class because China/the manager could not tell which one was teaching which class. When I cancelled my contract, they advised that I have to give 2 weeks notice which was reasonable. No problem at all. Then, they cancelled the class again and told me that I had to do another 2 weeks just because the teacher did not show up this week. If you say no, Debit success company (they partner with) still deduct the money from your account. If you don't put money into your bank account for the payment to go out, the would go default and affect your Credit Check in the future. So, they are always right and you are always wrong. Consider my experience before signing up. Hope this helps you.

Hi Cong, we apologize once more for your experience with us which was indeed unfortunate. We are surprised to hear from you again since we though we had settled this back in June when we gave you a refund.
We acknowledge that we cancelled your class on 3 occasions, one of them due to the teacher’s car having a malfunction, one of them due to teacher’s illness, and one of them due to a breakdown in communication between our manager and the teacher. On all these occasions the class was cancelled 4 hours before the time of the class, we don’t consider this to be last minute, but we do understand it may have caused annoyance. Furthermore none of these lessons were charged.
Upon your cancellation of the contract you were reminded that your contract called for a two weeks notice, and when you weren’t satisfied with how this was handled we even provided you with a partial refund of the latest payments. If you still consider that things were not done properly please feel free to contact and we will gladly solve this with you.
